Review: Once Joe received good performance AUSTINS Americans SXSW Film Festival. David Gordon Greens movie, based on Larry Brown's novel was filmed locally in the Austin-area. The film is dark, brooding, intense and most of all passion. Interior wood moderator story? Joe - Drifter father who tries to rescue the 15-year-old is alcohol abuse and violence with violence only know from the beginning that there is no way to end well. I got a little film very dark and very little late as a stage for what seems like the inevitable bitter end. I think it's powerful use some editing to dlúsa little faster. Nicholas Cage act as her three young militants and Tye Sheridan? Fresh from his success in the mud along with Matthew McConaughey? There are excellent. So in this way, is to reverse the characters in the mud where the character Tye Sheridans want to save the old man; Joe is the state of the other way around. The film is difficult to watch from time to time and difficult to call good, but the story is still strong. There is impossible to imagine such a dark film to achieve many successful movies. Green often treated local movie. In what was nearly sad, but perhaps appropriately, Green thrown into the homeless man, Gary Poulter, playing a key role alcoholic father. Poulter had died on the streets of Austin two months after the end of the film. It is a powerful film, but I doubt that I ever want to watch again. |
