Review: I will preface this by saying I'm a huge Transformers fan. I love the series. I love the concept. I loved the animated series that used to air on TV. I even liked the previous Transformers movies. (Well, maybe not the third, but I thought it was okay.) It's one of my favorite franchises, and I just saw it for the slaughter of more than two and a half hours.Transformers: Age of Extinction is a disaster. I was so happy to get the chance to see it before most of the world, but ultimately disappointed. The movie is 165 minutes of incoherent nonsense and if you thought that's what was the last film, yes, you can begin to appreciate after seeing this.First of all, she has that god awful Michael Bay humor that we saw in the previous films. It's not fun anymore, and there are so many, so often it makes you cringe. It's like watching a senile old man on the street naked. Its sad and you feel uncomfortable. But that things were rather similarly. What I like to see the transforming robots of the Transformers movie, or what you like about them, and had to fight. The previous films had memorable moments. I still remember the scene from the first film where Ironhide jump and shoot missiles the air in slow motion as the woman screams below and Starscream jumping and turning the air and demolished Sideways be halved by Sideswipe, Scorponok rises from the ground , and the short scenes with Demolisher and Devastator in the second film, and finally Shockwave sequences and then Bumblebee transforms with Shia LaBeouf in the car of the third movie. But none of that in this film. Unlike Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, there are three other Autobots in the film, all of which are new. They try to come across as interesting, but you do not really give a damn about them. Bumblebee is so rarely on screen you forget he's even in the movie. And Optimus Prime is thoroughly kicked by his usual routine to get his ass in the first half of the film, to rise, which is a common theme in the earlier films have been later. That's why I do not feel particularly strongly about the film version of Prime Minister because he did not see her as often hard to fight hard to take him seriously as leader. There are plenty of action scenes in the film, but the first half has about 10% of them. And given the first half is about 90 minutes long it means that you are treated to a lot of talk and other things that are either stupid or just plain boring. When sh * t hits the fan will not start later, it's just a bloody mess, with so much going on once you do not care, and none of it is particularly cool or memorable. The nausea-inducing shaky camera technique is thoroughly exploited here, which really makes it hard to see what is going on because everything is shaking so damn much all the time. Except when there is a product placement is going on, so camera is absolutely still, so you see the name clearly. The only redeeming feature of this film is the extraordinary CGI with some great 3D and incredible sound. The film looks and sounds great, and if you make the mistake of seeing it, so please do it in IMAX as I did, because otherwise there will be something there to enjoy. (This film has the highest amount of IMAX images I've seen in a movie, with about half of the film is in IMAX., But I do not like the way it is continuously jump between IMAX and. Non-IMAX images of each other, this scene probably will not bother you as much as it bothered me, and if you are in a regular theater, so you can not see it at all) Overall, Transformers:. Age of Extinction is a horrible mess of a film and a complete waste of time and money. The former Transformers movie was a guilty pleasure, and scratched a very specific itch for a very specific audience, but this ...
