Review: Life Aquatic is certainly an unusual film. Its a little collage of colorful images, videos, crushed popular music, odd characters, bizarre situations, and entertaining montages. But if you have a western Anderson's previous films seen, you would not less.It can not really be helped, there is a certain amount of hype surrounding Andersons name, after all, his films Rushmore and The Royal Tenenbaums both considerable fame and expect three of these young filmmakers creators are four films rapper DVD treatment. Is the alarm justified? I mean, absolutely. Anderson has some of the most vibrant, bright, unique and off-beat films of the past decade, a life without water ekception. The film follows Steve Zissou (Murray), a former oceanographer who famously new documentary What about his best friend and colleague, Esteban eat the Jaguar shark, received less-than-wonderful reception. Steve then announces that it plans to set up a trip the second part of the documentary, which he and his crew follows as they try to find the Jaguar Shark alleged shooting. Along for the ride is Ned (Wilson), a man who may or may not Steves son; Jane (Blanchett), an up-and-coming reporter doing a story on Zissou; Klaus (Dafoe), an eccentric German first officer; Portuguese expert David Bowie-over of weapons; No nonsense technology professionals; Mostly semi-naked female member of the crew; Bend unpaid interns; and various other quirky personality. Other characters are Zissous estranged wife, Eleanor (Houston), and her ex-husband, Alistair Hennessey (Goldblum). On the voyage, the crew encountered financial problems, relationship problems, and ... pirates. The film takes place in the living world sinking in Stevens. The colorful world where creatures and claymation where Steve can singlehandedly prevent kidnapping, gun-wielding pirates beat of The Stooges search and Destroi.I not warn you though, if you're not a fan of dry humor, these children probably is not for you. The film is full of it, in all its off-beat, tongue-in-cheek against glori. There some wonderful acting performances all around, including the lush Bill Murray, who has just lost myself in the character Zissou muted Anjelica Huston, whose subtle cunning smile and deadpan delivery of her character more than anything else to develop, a spirited Willem Dafoe, who has managed to make a German accent sounds more fun than I ever thought I could. If you enjoyed Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums, Punch-Drunk Love, I Heart Huckabees, or you definitely should not let this beautiful, beautiful strange little movie called radar.9.5/10 passing |
