| Review: Boyhood is the film's most rewarding seen on Sundance Film Festival. Linklater somehow manages to authentically capture 12 years of experience of life in a beautiful and moving film 3 hours. You feel a genuine connection with these characters as you see them literally right age before your eyes. Q & A afterwards with Ethan Hawke, Patricia Arquette and Richard Linklater was incredible. Something tells me that this is the movie everyone will be talking about throughout the year and I can not wait to see this version again.the really saw was ready. There was no background noise, credits werent done and there was no music - just a few occasional songs that are used to tell the audience what year was (although I pray they keep the arcade fire song, made it absolutely perfect end) I'm also really curious what is going to edit out stuff. 3-hour film consisting of pure dialogue does not really sell well ... Even still, it feels like a cohesive piece that is epic in every way. |
