| Review: If you enjoy the immortal words of Shakespeare's eponymous play, when I do not see this movie! I only stayed for an hour and an hour of my life I'll never get back. Im baffled as to how anyone can bastardise Shakspeare to the extent that it was almost unrecognisable.It really had to rewrite Shakespeare for Dummies with a man who is clearly so arrogant to think that the public might not understand or enjoy the original text. A job well done Mr. Fellowes, because I knew hardly any of it, so if it was your goal, then, bravo! You really would be better to look at Shakespeare in Love, if you want an introduction to Romeo & Julia, who is faithful to the text, and is a nice story, not this nonsense too. Runs were invented, and there was absolutely zero chemistry between the two leaders. It was also very disturbing to see the boy playing Romeo was more beautiful than many women I know. If you like Romeo & Julia, for your peace of mind, stay away from these scams. If you love Twilight, this may be for you. |
